Our traveling party of four (me, Thurmond, son, Elliot and his wife to be, Ali) arrived in Helsinki at 10:30 a.m. Monday, and were greeted by our beautiful hostesses, Riikka and her daughter, Outi.We spent the day touring Helsinki, including a ferry trip to the island of Suomenlinna, where we slept on the hot rocks and enjoyed the specialities of a charming tea shop, associated with a toy museum.
Here, you will find us enjoying the teas and coffees. Also, my three family members with Outi on the left, in the Alexander the Great Square in Helsinki. I love seeing the bird atop Alex's head...keeping this great man humble and covered in bird you-know-what!!
Thanks for the update. Have a great time. The natural world has lots of ways to keep us humble. I have three cats and forgot to bring the newly cleaned cat box in last night. Also got visited by a skunk...Wear your hat! Love, S.
